From Chicago, Illinois- Westside, Holy City, to Bellwood, Illinois, Mimosa was inspired by her aunt and uncle both lyricist, her mom and grandparents who are singers, and her dad who is a deejay. Morgan was considered for a "Best Dance/Electronic Album" Grammy nomination, for her and DJ Slugo's "Dance Floor Addiction" EP. She has opened up for Jazmin Sullivan at the "Central State University Spring Fest", and she also was apart of the "Local Hyena" cypher on Sway In The Morning Show SXSW Edition.

Morgan Mimosa now resides in Atlanta, Georgia, and was nominated “Female Rap Artist of The Year” for the SEIAwards. Morgan Mimosa has been creating and writing her own music since she was a young girl. Coming from the westside of Chicago, Mimosa grew up around music and the influence of being an artist all of her life. As a music artist and music lover, Mimosa never limited herself to listening to 1 or 2 genres, if the music sounds good, and feels good, she embraces the sound, no matter the genre. Being open to all music helped shape Mimosa's sound as a music artist, and her music gets better with time.
